Pentagon Preps Soldier Telepathy Push.

Forget the battlefield radios, the combat PDAs or even infantry hand signals.
When the soldiers of the future want to communicate, they’ll read each other’s minds.
At least, that’s the hope of researchers at the Pentagon’s mad-science division Darpa.
The agency’s budget for the next fiscal year includes $4 million to start up a program
called Silent Talk.
The goal is to “allow user-to-user communication on the battlefield without the use
of vocalized speech through analysis of neural signals.” That’s on top of the $4
million the Army handed out last year to the University of California to investigate
the potential for computer-mediated telepathy.
Before being vocalized, speech exists as word-specific neural signals in the mind.
Darpa wants to develop technology that would detect these signals of “pre-speech,”
analyze them, and then transmit the statement to an intended interlocutor. Darpa plans
to use EEG to read the brain waves. It’s a technique they’re also testing in a project to
devise mind-reading binoculars that alert soldiers to threats faster the conscious mind
can process them.
The project has three major goals, according to Darpa. First, try to map a person’s
EEG patterns to his or her individual words. Then, see if those patterns are generalizable
— if everyone has similar patterns. Last, “construct a fieldable pre-prototype that would
decode the signal and transmit over a limited range.”
The military has been funding a handful of mind-tapping technology recently, and
already have monkeys capable of telepathic limb control. Telepathy may also have
advantages beyond covert battlefield chatter. Last year, the National Research Council
and the Defense Intelligence Agency released a report suggesting that neuroscience
might also be useful to “make the enemy obey our commands.” The first step, though,
may be getting a grunt to obey his officer’s remotely-transmitted thoughts.

Is the Mystery McAque somehow linked to this pentagon telepathic tinkering? How else could this monkey know to obey traffic lights? Or is this Avatar, the home edition? Wow! Funny how i can turn a conspiracy mechanic claptrap.
The Society for Psychical Research (SPR) was founded in London in 1882. The formation of the SPR was the first systematic effort to organize scientists and scholars for a critical and sustained investigation of paranormal phenomena. The early membership of the SPR included philosophers, scholars, scientists, educators and politicians, such as Henry Sidgwick, Arthur Balfour, William Crookes, Rufus Osgood Mason and Charles Richet.
I just wish war will be won by telepathic arguments and reasoning such that no actual shot is fired. Then guns and sword will be beaten into microchips and brain implants to bring telepathic peace between nations. Not bad. Lets support the research.

If people try to dominate each other telepathically, they will drive each other to murder and suicide anyway. Diplomacy and de-escalation of violence have always been means of settling conflicts. Politics is war by other means. Resorting to technology other than explicit language to deal with conflicts is probably the very definition of escalation of violence. The trick is to find a way to mediate authority conflicts without domination and submission. Call it democracy if you want.

Your videos are crap at best and complete frauds in several instances. Let's take Darren Brown for example, whom I actually quite like as an entertainer.

This is a quote from him...

I am often dishonest in my techniques, but always honest about my dishonesty. As I say in each show, 'I mix magic, suggestion, psychology, misdirection and showmanship'. I happily admit cheating, as it's all part of the game. I hope some of the fun for the viewer comes from not knowing what's real and what isn't. I am an entertainer first and foremost, and I am careful not to cross any moral line that would take me into manipulating people's real-life decisions or belief systems.

Get it?

It's an act.

To be honest, I am just responding to your garbage because it's late at night and I'm bored. You have been posting your ridiculous opinions for a long time here and no one thinks you are anything but a nut.

Why you bother is beyond me.

Parapsychologists as having demonstrated the existence of some forms of psychic abilities, the consensus of the scientific community is that psychic abilities have not been demonstrated to exist. Critics argue that methodological flaws may explain any apparent experimental successes.

Have you ever heard the term: "Any sufficiently advanced
technology is indistinguishable from magic."?
This begs the question
"So what would be magic to man?"

A genee emerging from an old lamp. Levitation among other stunts by invoking some alleged dark supernatural powers. Magic is Willy nilly fantasies as far as scientists are concerned.

There are programs in our government which are sensible attempts to improve efficiency, increase the potential effect of governmental actions, and save money, therefore benefiting taxpayers. And there are other programs which are designed to waste resources for the exclusive benefit of undeserving individuals. The program we are talking here is apparently one of these last.

s0cratus, you seem to bill yourself as an expert in magic, parapsychology, and whatever else the gods know. So you should be able to explain to us what is the human consciousness, how it plays in the context of our physical makeup, and how it is different from the mind conscious awareness. As a related aspect, how the body consciousness and our specific biology plays in the overall consciousness of the individual and in the actions resulting from the interaction with other fellow individuals and the environment in its surroundings. An in depth understanding of these aspects is absolutely necessary for any serious undertaking in Parapsychology as you know, yet it seems that most practitioners of this field skip to address such relevant topics. Parapsychology isn't homeopathy of the mind.
